The Most Magical North Pole Is Located In Montana
The holiday season is in full swing here in Montana. And if you’re lucky enough to live near Billings, you can visit the North Pole… a slightly warmer, brighter version, that is. For over a decade, one big-hearted Montanan has decorated his home with over 100,000 lights, and you’re all invited to see them.
Every fall, Chris Troup and his family begin to transform their Billings home...
... and by December 1st, it looks something like this.
The decor changes slightly every year, but the theme remains the same: The North Pole.
It's a lot of work, of course, and probably very expensive. But the Troup family loves to bring joy to the community.
The Billings North Pole is more than just a fun, festive place to visit. It's a way to give back.
The display is also a toy drop off for the children of Child Protective Services. In years past, they've collected over 500 toys.
Chris Troup says that every child deserves a Christmas present, and the family clearly believes the city of Billings deserves a magical holiday season.
This just might be the largest privately decorated display in Montana.
The Billings North Pole is located at 4516 Stone Street.
The tentative dates for 2018 are December 1 - December 24, but you should check their Facebook page before you go, just in case.
Have you ever seen the Billings North Pole? If not, add it to your
Montana Christmas list this year.
