This Massive Fabric Warehouse In Montana Is A Dream Come True
When winter arrives in Montana, do you go play in the snow or stay in and sew? If you chose the latter, you’ll be happy to know that Missoula has a well-stocked, massive fabric store that has everything you could possibly need for your future projects.
The Confident Stitch is located at 139 W. Front St. in Missoula.
And for anyone in Missoula who sews and quilts, it's a godsend.
The Confident Stitch is owned by Kate McIvor and run by a team of experts with a passion for creating.
The venture began as Kate's blog, which chronicled her projects and love of fabrics. Eventually, her dream of owning a brick-and-mortar shop became a reality.
Inside, you'll find all sorts of fabrics and textiles you help you create the clothing you want...
... and you're sure to be impressed by the selection.
From patterns and supplies to books on everything from embroidery to garment making, you'll find what you need here.
If you've been curious about quilting, the team at The Confident Stitch will be happy to guide you in the right direction.
They're always happy to help people choose the proper fabrics, and they love seeing their customers' quilts.
And don't think you have to be an expert -- or even a regular tailor or seamstress -- to shop here.
You can take classes at the Confident Stitch to help gain more knowledge (and confidence) of your craft. Sign up for a crash course in sewing or an intro to quilting on the company's website.
Do you like to socialize while you sew? Every Thursday, 'The Sewcialist Union' meets at the store from 6-9 p.m.
This is a free drop-in meetup where you can swap ideas, work on your projects together, or just talk all things sewing.
The Confident Stitch is open Monday - Saturday from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m., except for Saturdays when they close at 5.
And if you can't make it to the store itself, you can order what you need online.
Sewing is a great way to pass the time while you’re waiting out the winter.
Here are some other ideas for staying busy when the weather is dreary.
