Also known as the Hidden Lake Nature Trail, this 2.7-mile trek is ranked as moderate on AllTrails, meaning it's feasible for most Montanans to attempt.
Just climb the stairs and look for signs for the Hanging Gardens Trailhead or the Hidden Lake Nature Trail. The trail starts as a paved surface, quickly turning into a raised boardwalk for the first section.

But to avoid it on the trail, hike well into the summer months.
Besides, the views of Mt. Oberlin and Clements Mountain will make you forget you're exercising.
