This Old-Time General Store Is Home To The Best Bakery In Montana

If it’s sweet treats you love, it’s sweet treats you must have! There are quite a few places to find them here in Montana. In fact, no matter where you are you’re rarely far from something homemade and scrumptious to satisfy your sweet tooth. Of the many choices, our favorite just might be this general store in Montana. Packed with all the essentials, it’s also got everything from cookies to bread to pastries. And it’s all just waiting to be discovered.

The town of Polebridge sits right at the edge of Glacier National Park, one of the most incredible spots in the state. It's a quick 26 miles from the entrance.

And, while we certainly appreciate the natural wonders of the area, there's another reason why we love it here: our favorite general store in Montana is right here and it's been a local favorite since 1914.

They offer just about anything you might need before heading into the national park. From sundries to snacks and everything in between, Polebridge Mercantile is a must-visit when stocking up for a few days.

However, that's not all it's great for. In addition to offering all the things a general store in Montana should, they're also a delicious bakery.

They make some of the best bear claws you can find.

But be sure to get here early. In the summer months, there's a good chance they'll sell out of the incredible bread, muffins, and treats they sell.

They also have a fun produce stand that's open during the summer. Grab something healthy along with your muffins.
