Hiking At Florence Falls Trail In Montana Is Like Entering A Fairytale

Glacier National Park is the Treasure State’s finest gem. It also happens to be a hiker’s paradise, with an abundance of trails ranging from steep mountain climbs to tranquil forested treks. But no hike is quite as enchanting as the Florence Falls Trail, a pleasant adventure that takes you straight to a stunning waterfall. While the trail is neither short nor easy, it’s well worth the effort.
The journey begins at the Jackson Glacier Overlook, about 12 miles west of the St. Mary Entrance Station on Going-To-The-Sun Road. The trailhead is located near the eastern end of the parking lot.
You may even spot some wildlife on the hike.

But since there are not many steep inclines and the trail is well-marked, it's ranked as moderate.
The water cascades down a series of segmented tiers that range in height between 32 and 49 feet.
Deadwood Falls is also located on this trail, a beautiful 10-foot waterfall with deep, clear pools of water below.
Luckily, there are a few campsites nearby for those who want to spend more time here. But if you only have a full day to dedicate to this marvelous trail, you can still take in all the best sights.
