By now, it’s a well-known fact that Montana has some of the best breweries in the nation. It’s also a well-known fact that Montanans love to have a good time. But our state is only rated 6th for alcohol consumption, so at least we’re not the worst, right?
According to the website Road Snacks, which gathers such data, these are the 10 drunkest cities in Montana. The information collected was based partially on:
Number of bars and pubs per capita
Number of wineries per capita
Number of liquor stores per capita
Each city’s drunk-related tweets (using hashtags and keywords)
Each city’s divorce rate (statistically, when one or both partners in a marriage are alcoholics, that couple is three times more likely to divorce).
Of course, just because the people in a city like to drink, it doesn’t mean it’s a dangerous or even unpleasant place to be. Know your limits, always designate a driver, and keep enjoying life in the Last Best Place.
