These 9 Cozy Cabins Are Everything You Need For The Ultimate Fall Getaway In Montana
The best time to book a cabin in Montana is definitely fall. The changing leaves beautify the landscapes, and the cool temperatures encourage cozying up by the fire while you enjoy the autumn hues through the window. Plus, the snow hasn’t fully taken over (yet) so you can still go on a mountain drive without worry.
1. Bear Paw Cabin, Hamilton
The Bear Paw Cabin is available through Bitterroot Cabins, a company that rents out vacation homes in the Hamilton and Darby areas. This cozy two bedroom home has a wood stove for enjoying after a long day spent in the great outdoors… and if you need more warmth, you can step outside and take a dip in the hot tub by the back deck.
2. Coleman’s Cabin Retreat, Nye
The panoramic views from this cabin are incredible, but the amazing full kitchen, BOSE Wave Radio and DirecTV will make you happy to spend your evenings inside.
3. Blue Sky Cabins, Red Lodge
These luxurious cabins are located on a quiet country road about 19 miles from Red Lodge. They’re stocked with basic amenities, snacks, and have amazing hot tubs perfect for warming up on a chilly autumn night.
4. Wilderness Spirit Cabins, Corvallis
Wilderness Spirit has three cabins for rent, all of which are located near Hamilton and downtown Corvallis… but not so near that you won’t feel like you’ve escaped civilization for awhile.
5. Montana Cabin Rentals’ Sage Cabin #2, Emigrant
This cabin is an immaculate vacation spot located in the Paradise Valley above the Yellowstone River. With its hickory floors, granite countertops and views of horse pastures, it’s the perfect blend of comfort and luxury.
6. Cottonwood Log Cabins, Lewistown
These secluded cabins provide a restful "home base" as you explore the area. You'll be surrounded by miles of hiking trails and scenery, but the hot tubs (in cabins 2 and 3) will lure you back "home."
7. Double Arrow Resort, Seeley Lake
This rustic resort offers cozy cabins for rent, and some of them date back to the 30s. For a fall getaway, stay in a Tamarack Cabin and enjoy the gas log fireplace, Jacuzzi tub and king-sized bed.
8. Rye Creek Lodge, Darby
Rye Creek Lodge has five secluded cabins available at the southern end of the scenic Bitterroot Valley. Each one is stocked with the comforts of home, and some, like the Sapphire Cabin (pictured here) have outdoor hot tubs.
9. Blue Moons Cabin, Livingston
This secluded cabin is just the getaway you need after a busy summer. Take in the views of the mountains from the hot tub on your deck before drifting off to sleep in your cozy bed.
