Soak Under The Stars At This Historic Hot Spring In Montana
Montana has plenty of wonderful and relaxing hot springs resorts. But when it comes to soaking under the stars, nothing quite compares to the experience at Bozeman Hot Springs. This one-of-a-kind spot is steeped in local history, but its modern amenities are what makes it amazing.
The hot springs property was initially purchased by Jeremiah Mathews, a local wagon and carriage maker.
Mathews built a bathhouse near the springs with a few private bathing rooms and a public plunge bath. The property changed hands several times over the next century, eventually becoming the magnificent structure it is today.
These days, you'd never know this modern space was once a simple historic bathhouse.
The property has several indoor soaking pools, a cold plunge, a steam room, and a dry sauna. The pools are all naturally heated from water that comes from an underground well and is chock full of minerals.
There's even a full fitness center here with the most modern cardio equipment, weights, and group fitness classes.
You can take water aerobics classes in the indoor pools as well.
But as great as all the indoor amenities are, nothing quite compares to the outdoor pools.
The four outdoor hot springs pools were added a few years ago and include outstanding rock fixtures, lights, and a stage.
Needless to say, there's nothing like soaking under the stars here.
The outdoor pools are where all the public events happen, but even on quiet evenings, there's no better place to be.
You'll have plenty of chances to swim under the stars at Bozeman Hot Springs, because they're open late.
They're open until 11 p.m. Sunday through Thursday, 8 p.m. on Friday, and on Saturdays, they're only open from 9 p.m. until midnight.
If it's been awhile since you've been to Bozeman Hot Springs, come enjoy a workout, steam, snack, and late night soak.
There are still plenty of summer nights left to swim by moonlight.
