All it takes is one look at the Boulder Hot Springs property to know that it’s a special place. Once a hot spot for celebrities, ranchers, and even former presidents, it’s now a timeless treasure with a spot on the National Register of Historic Places. And not only is it absolutely delightful, it comes with its own ghost – but don’t worry, she’s not unfriendly.
Boulder Hot Springs sits in the foothills of the Elkhorn Mountains on the outskirts of the small town of Boulder.
The first building was constructed in 1863 by a prospector named James E. Riley, who built a saloon and bathhouse catering to local miners and ranchers.
The resort has changed hands quite a few times over the years, but each owner has treated it well.
The property received a complete renovation in 1910. Although everything is kept up-to-date, you'll still find plenty of gorgeous antique furnishings in the rooms.

These days, Boulder Hot Springs is as popular as ever, and it's an amazing place to come and relax.
She has been spotted in the halls and from several third story windows. Guests have also reported an unexplained perfume aroma with no apparent source. There's even a suite named after Simone, although Simone's spirit doesn't seem to spend much time there (so don't hesitate to book it).
There have been other reports of paranormal activity at Boulder Hot Springs, but Simone tends to be the most prominent spirit.
If you don't see any ghosts while you're there, don't get discouraged... this place is amazing, even when there are no spirits in sight.
