This Sugary-Sweet Ice Cream Shop In Montana Serves Enormous Portions You’ll Love
In Montana, people love to joke that summer is construction season — but those of us with a sweet tooth know that it is, in fact, ice cream season. And while we love every Treasure State-born ice cream shop we find, today we want to give a shout-out to the Big Dipper, where you’ll never be judged for ordering a dessert the size of your head.
We’re aware that these uncertain times are limiting many aspects of life. While we continue to feature destinations that make our state wonderful, please take proper precautions or add them to your bucket list to see at a later date. If you know of a local business that could use some extra support during these times, please nominate them here: onlyinyourstate.com/nominate

There's even an ice cream truck in Missoula that you'll see at most Missoula Downtown Association event and various other local festivals.

They were serving creative flavors long before it was cool (pun intended).

This is the Salted Starship Brownie sundae, featuring locally made brownies and salted caramel sauce.

From making an appearance on Good Morning America to being chosen as one of America's best ice cream shops by USA Today and Food and Wine Magazine, this ice cream is pretty famous.

Although hours vary, all three locations are open daily.
Big Dipper ice cream is second to none. No wonder it is part of our delicious Montana ice cream trail.
