The One Boat Ride Every Montanan Should Take This Summer
KwaTaqNuk Resort & Casino is located on Flathead Lake in Polson. Surrounded by breathtaking nature, it’s a peaceful but lively spot to spend a warm summer weekend (or any weekend, really). But as fun as the onsite casino and lakeside restaurant are, the crowning jewel of the resort is the Shadow Cruiser.
The boat was imported from North Idaho in 2009, and it can carry three times the passengers of the boat it replaced.
The bay cruise launches at noon, while the sunset cruise departs at 6 p.m. Each cruise is 90 minutes long and costs $20 (kids 5 and under are $5).
And of course, there's always a cash bar onboard.
It's actually the largest freshwater lake west of the Mississippi, and your boat ride will be breathtaking no matter what time of day you go.
Even if you own a boat yourself, it's always fun to be chartered around the lake as you take in the views with a cocktail in your hand.
