The Unassuming Town In Montana That Has The Best Mexican Food Ever
Since Montana is quite far from the Mexican border, you wouldn’t think Mexican food would be a staple here. But there are some places that get it so right, you’d think you were sitting down to dinner in Cabo. Believe it or not, the charming little city of Kalispell has some seriously tasty Mexican food. You just have to know where to find it.
Kalispell is home to 23,212 people, the Conrad Mansion, and numerous nature trails.
It's known as a gateway to Glacier National Park. And apparently, it's a fantastic place to get a Mexican meal.
Casa Mexico is located at 1600 Highway 93 S.
This family-owned eatery has been open for 12 years, and the salsas, sauces, and guacamole are all made in-house.
This is the perfect place to come for classic, hearty Mexican entrees.
This family understands that Mexican cuisine is quite diverse, bringing together traditional foods as far back as the Aztecs and combining them with European, Caribbean, and even West African influences.
They're open daily from 11 a.m. until 10 p.m.
Blink and you'll miss Food for the Soul, which sits tucked behind a gas station at 1011 U.S. Hwy 2 W.
However, we highly recommend you don't miss it at all.
This laid back little eatery serves burritos, street tacos, and nachos to die for.
They even open at 7 a.m. for those breakfast burrito cravings.
Costa Vida has a Kalispell location, which you'll find at 2286 US Highway 93 N.
This chain put a fresh spin on fresh Mexican classics, and the results are scrumptious.
At Costa Vida, you choose your entree, meat, and fillings, and there are, as they put it, waves of options.
They're open daily from 10:30 a.m. until 8 p.m.
Located at 409 1st Avenue E., Bias Brewing is a place that serves more than great beer.
They actually have some of the tastiest Mexican food in town.
Even if you're not a beer drinker, head to Bias Brewing and order some tacos, a burrito bowl, or some fully loaded nachos.
Bias Brewing also owns the delicious Chicas Blancas Tamales food truck, which you'll sometimes spot in their parking lot and all over town.
