Get Lost In These 8 Awesome Corn Mazes In Montana This Fall
If you’ve read through our Ultimate Montana Fall Bucket List, you probably noticed that we consider getting lost in a corn maze to be an essential autumn experience. If you’ve brushed off the idea in the past, you may want to reconsider, because some Montana farms really go all out for this seasonal staple. Try one of these eight spots before Halloween.
1. Bozeman Maze, 1121 Mandeville Lane
From Wednesday-Sunday each week until Halloween (hours vary), you’ll have a chance to beat the Bozeman Maze. Your $9 admission (for adults) includes the use of the maze, use of the onsite tent for a party, hayrides and a host of other awesome activities.
2. The Maize at Grandpa’s Farm, 58th St. West & Grand Ave., Billings
This is the 19th season for Grandpa’s Farms notorious corn maze, and each year seems to be better than the last. They’re open Wednesday-Saturday with varying hours, and sometimes the maze is haunted.
3. Montana Corn Maze, 4605 W Cameron Bridge Road, Manhattan
The Montana Corn Maze is creating by cutting four foot wide paths by walking into the corn field that has been planted in a grid. It’s drawn and cut without the use of GPS or computers. They’re open on Fridays from 5-8:30 PM and Saturdays from 10-8:30 PM.
4. Field of Screams, 1497 Highway 93 N, Victor
A word of caution: This isn’t your average corn maze. In fact, they sell Depends underwear for the easily spooked and don’t recommend young children attempt it (they do have a Children of the Candy Corn maze for the little ones). They’re open Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays this month, with hauntings beginning at dusk.
5. Fritz Corn Maze, Birch Grove Road East, Kalispell
You’ll find all kinds of festivities at the Fritz Corn Maze. Each year a new maze is cut into a field of corn and a challenging scavenger hunt is planned. You can also ride a cow train, play a game of bean bag toss and slide down a culvert slide.
6. Missoula Maze, 1010 Clements Road
The Missoula Maze is open Wednesday-Sunday through Halloween (hours vary). And as “aMAZEing” as the main attraction is, there are plenty of other activities to keep you occupied, like adorable farm animals, if weaving your way through a maze isn’t your thing.
7. J&K Farms, 7 Krug Lane, Laurel
Pick out your pumpkins, enjoy a hayride and maneuver your way through a maze at J&K Farms, which is open daily from 9-6. Their all ages maze is more silly than spooky.
8. Applestem, Inc, 283 US Highway 89, Vaughn
Applestem’s corn maze is now in its 12th season, and it seems to get better every year. Check out their Haunting Nights on the weekends, when you’ll be joined by ghosts as you navigate the maze.
