Recently, the historic Andrus Hotel, which first opened to the public in 1917, has re-emerged after being closed for years. And despite its century-old building, the new place is nice and modern.

The hotel was originally constructed by successful sheep rancher Harry Andrus who thought Dillon's first railroad hotel, the Hotel Metlen, could use some competition.

He hired Jesse Warren, a renowned Seattle architect, to design a modern and elegant Renaissance Revival style building. Since Andrus had made his money in Beaverhead County, he spared no expense in making it a beautiful place for his guests to enjoy.
