9 Must-Visit Markets In St. Louis Where You’ll Find Awesome Stuff
Everyone loves a good market. In St. Louis we have many different types of markets. From flea markets to antiques and farmers markets, there are plenty of different markets where you can find awesome stuff. Not all markets measure up, so we put together this list of nine must-visit markets in St. Louis:
1. Soulard Farmers Market (730 Carroll St, St. Louis, MO 63104)
Soulard Farmers Market was established in 1779 and is still going strong today. Wednesday through Saturday you can buy everything from produce to dry goods from local farmers.
2. Fenton Flea Market (1069 Gravois Rd, Fenton, MO 63026)
Open every Friday, Saturday and Sunday from March to November beginning at 7:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m., the Fenton Flea Market is a great little market in Fenton worth stopping by.
3. The Green Shag Market (5733 Manchester Ave, Saint Louis, MO 63110)
The Green Shag Market is a decent-sized flea market, in a great location, offering quality items with reasonable pricing. You'll find this market is open Monday through Sunday and closed on Tuesday.
4. The Tower Grove Farmers Market (4256 Magnolia Ave, St. Louis, MO 63110)
The Tower Grove Farmers Market is a very large market and highly recommended.
Open Saturday 8:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., the market offers everything you desire. Expect more than 100 vendors including local farmers who sell everything from farm-fresh eggs, pork, lamb, and beef, to herbs, mushrooms, produce, honey, and flowers. Tower Grove Park is an excellent backdrop for the market - providing playgrounds and fountains for the kids to play in.
5. Treasure Aisles Antique Mall (2317 S Big Bend Blvd, St. Louis, MO 63143)
Treasure Aisles Antique Mall is a pretty large indoor flea market with 128 vendors. Shoppers love their great selection and reasonable pricing. It's open seven days a week.
6. South County Antique Mall, (13208 Tesson Ferry Rd, Saint Louis, MO 63128)
This massive flea market is one of the largest and longest running multi-dealer antiques and collectibles venues in the country. It is indoor and over 50,000 square feet. South County Antique Mall has 400 display booths and 275 showcases, and more than 300 dealers from all over the world.
7. Grand Slam Market Place (2505 Chambers Rd, St. Louis, MO 63136)
Grand Slam Market Place is a large indoor flea market with 150 vendors and is located in a safe area in North County. Grand Slam Market Place offers everything from cell phones to unique items and clothes. There are vendors that buy gold and you can even get your shoes shined.
8. Valley Park Resale and Flea Market (20 Meramec Station Rd, Valley Park, Missouri 63088)
Open seven days a week, Valley Park Resale and Flea Market is celebrating their seventh year in business. Housing 130-plus vendors, they are always bringing in new items.
9. Maplewood Farmers Market (7260 Southwest Blvd, Maplewood, MO 63143)
Maplewood Farmers Market is open on Wednesdays from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Schlafly Bottleworks. The market supports 30 farmers and local food purveyors each week during the season. Bottleworks provides live music on the patio from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on market days.
