These iconic hometown foods hold a special place in the heart of St. Louis. Many of these were created here and most of them you just can’t find in other cities. If you find yourself living or traveling far from St. Louis, these are the foods you will definitely miss. Read below to see how many of these delicious dishes make your mouth water!
1. Toasted Ravioli
These hearty, deep fried pasta puffs are a great appetizer or a filling dinner dish. If you are away from St. Louis, you likely won't this item anywhere on the menu.

Sure, you'll find pretzels elsewhere, but none will compare to Gus's Pretzels. These wonderful twists have been sold in St. Louis since 1920!

A St. Louis favorite, it can be a shock to find this item missing from the menu in other cities.

We are spoiled in St. Louis with an authentic Italian restaurant in just about every neighborhood. And the food is normally created from recipes handed down from generations of amazing cooks.

You will miss our wonderful house salads tossed with a sweet, rich, and often anchovy-based dressing. They're served in almost every restaurant in St. Louis, and this unassuming side dishes is a staple food here.
