BEWARE: These 10 Counties in Missouri Have The Most Sex Offenders
In the United States, when a person is convicted of a sex-related crime, the government tracks their location through the sex offender registry, as well as their case being available as a public record. Many people want to be aware of offenders in their area, especially if such crimes involved children. Home Facts provides a database showing this information and maps it per county. For the purposes of this article, maps were shown zoomed out for privacy reasons, but a visit to the site allows you to specify a more exact location. Comparing the ratio of offenders to the population, the following counties were found to have the highest concentration of these offenders.
For perspective, the United States has 14.51 offenders per 10,000 residents and the state of Missouri has 24.81 offenders per 10,000 residents.
