Play With Tigers At This Remarkable Animal Sanctuary Hiding In Missouri
Life is all about experiencing new things. Most of us would probably agree with that, right? And, really, is there any better place in the United States than Missouri for embarking on new and unique adventures? Today, we’ll journey to a remarkable animal sanctuary in Missouri that offers visitors a once-in-a-lifetime experience to learn more about and to feed exotic cats. But, that’s just the beginning of the adventure.
The National Tiger Sanctuary, led by Keith Kindade and Judy McGee, has been rescuing and providing a permanent home for exotic cats, and other animals, since 2000.
The Awareness Tour, for example, will give you an up-close view of the resident tigers, including insight into what it takes to care for these big cats.
But, for a more interactive experience, opt for the Feeding or the You Feed Tour, the latter of which allows you the unique opportunity to feed the big cats yourself.
When you embark on the You Feed Tour, which lasts between 60-75 minutes, you'll also receive a t-shirt and a photo of your favorite resident cat to commemorate your visit.
And, if you want an even more in-depth experience, opt for the Behind The Scenes Tour, where you'll get to see more of the sanctuary's big cats, some of whom you'll also get to feed.
Or, if you prefer not walking around the animal sanctuary, sign up for the Riding Safari Tour. Climb aboard a tram that will take you around the sanctuary.
Be forewarned, however, that you'll likely not have the same interactive experience with the animals as you would during a feeding tour.
Of course, no matter what tour you take, you'll have plenty of opportunities to snap photos and video of the residents, including white tigers, leopards. lions, and...
