There’s Nothing Better Than Missouri’s Natural Lazy River On A Summer’s Day
Missouri is known for being one of the best states for float trips. We Missourian’s have floating pretty much down to a science. Nothing is better than tubing down a Missouri river on a hot and humid summer day! Ozark Outdoors is a river resort just outside of Rolla on the Meramec River and they have a tubing experience that can’t be missed.
We’re aware that these uncertain times are limiting many aspects of life. While we continue to feature destinations that make our state wonderful, please take proper precautions or add them to your bucket list to see at a later date. If you know of a local business that could use some extra support during these times, please nominate them here: onlyinyourstate.com/nominate
The Meramec River is one of Missouri's best rivers to float because of its calm, wide channel.
Ozark Outdoors has the traditional, 4 mile, all day float. Additionally, if you or maybe your kids aren't ready for the all day adventure you can do a smaller loop! If you still want more float after completing the loop, hop back on the bus and do it again.
Their tubes are some of the best on the river and can accommodate adults and kids. They even have head rests for when your float gets a little too relaxing.
Ozark Outdoors has some great camping sites so your trip doesn't have to be a daycation. However, if camping isn't your thing there are on-site cabins with all the comforts of home.
Open every day in the summer, you can find Ozark Outdoors at 200 Ozark Outdoors Ln., Leasburg. What other Missouri rivers do you love to tube in the summer? Let us know if you have tried tubing on the Meramec from Ozark Outdoors in the comment below or what other trips you may recommend!
