Your Tastebuds Will Go Crazy For This Amazing Taco Trail Through Kansas City
Is there anything more satisfying than a plate of tacos? Meat, cheese, and a tortilla marry each other to form what’s arguably the best food ever. Here in Kansas City, taco spots are a dime a dozen, but where should you spend your dime? It’s impossible to list every great taco spot, but these eight eateries on this taco trail are some of the best in Kansas City. Who’s up for a mini road trip?
We’re aware that these uncertain times are limiting many aspects of life. While we continue to feature destinations that make our state wonderful, please take proper precautions or add them to your bucket list to see at a later date. If you know of a local business that could use some extra support during these times, please nominate them here: onlyinyourstate.com/nominate

First we're headed to Rivermarket, where you'll find odd tacos in a variety of flavors. Grab a taco with cod or mesquite pork, and let your tastebuds go on an adventure.

Next up is Mission Taco Joint, which recently opened up shop here in Kansas City. They're served family-style on a platter, so be sure to remember what you ordered!

Since we're all here for tacos, this shop makes them perfectly. Plus, they stay open late for your late night taco needs when you return. Because you will return, trust me.

Rico's is a taco shop that values quality and price overall. Their taco Tuesdays bring the price of a taco to just $1 and food is served pretty quickly after you order.

Why is there a park listed in our Taco Trail? Well, because you need to walk off some of the food-baby you're probably growing by this point. After a bit of fresh air, we'll get right back on the taco trail!

My favorite tacos from El Fogon are the pork, because you'll never find any taco so tender. However, it's recommended you don't leave without trying the tres leches cake first.

Is that street corn? It sure is! It pairs perfectly with these Tikitacos, and is an amazing snack during their late night hours on Fridays and Saturdays.

Next up is El Camino Real which makes an awesome taco el pastor, freshly made right in front of you.

Last but not least is Bonito Michoacan, which has some of the best carne asada tacos I've had in awhile. It helps that this taco spot is right inside a grocery, so you can pick up a Jarritos soda or Mexican Coke-a-Cola to round out your taco adventure.
I hope you enjoy this mini road trip through some of Kansas City’s best taco spots! For directions and the route to each place, use the map below or click here to view the route. Enjoy!
Maybe after trying one of these restaurants, you could take a trip out to some of Kansas City’s best natural attractions.
