Everyone In Kansas City Absolutely Loves These 11 Foods And Drinks
Kansas Citians know good food when they see it. Everyone has their own preferences, but for the most part, we all agree on a few foods we just can’t get enough of. Do you agree that these foods are some of the best foods and drinks Kansas Citians love?
1. Burnt ends
We all love Kansas City barbecue, but the best part of it is the burnt ends. In Kansas City, it's not "leftover" meat, it's our first choice!
2. Ham and bean soup
Ham and bean soup reminds many Kansas Citians of home. It's a simple meal with many adaptations, and can be hard to find outside of your childhood kitchen.
3. Gooey butter cake
Gooey butter cake is most likely the best invention in the history of food. I'm kidding, but it tastes heavenly, and you won't find many people who dislike it.
4. Morel mushrooms
Finding these is like panning for gold, and they sell like hotcakes at the market. Maybe you're better off looking for them yourself?
5. Toasted ravioli
We use the word "toasted" lightly here, because these ravioli are fried and served with marinara as a dipping sauce. No more soggy pasta!
6. Fitz's Root Beer
Fitz's has been around forever. It's the best drink to have on a hot summer day and even better with a scoop of vanilla ice cream!
7. Stroud's cinnamon rolls
Cinnamon rolls can be made all sorts of ways, but there's something special about Stroud's that makes them irresistible to Kansas Citians.
Odds are you've tasted our most popular brand of craft beer, but which one's your favorite? If you can choose just one, that is.
9. Biscuits and gravy
Homemade biscuits paired with the perfect white gravy. Doesn't that spell happiness to you?
10. Fried cornbread
Fried cornbread (with honey, of course) is a delicacy here, and sometimes hard to find outside of mama's kitchen.
11. Waffle cones
They were invented in Missouri and perfected in Kansas City, where you can fill them with any number of sweet treats.
