There’s a lot to drink around here, but we aim to show you the best. Kansas City has a deep love for craft brews, and these nine breweries are working hard to provide unique flavors that you’ll love. Come check them out next time you’re in the mood for something new!
1. Boulevard Brewing Company (2501 Southwest Blvd., Kansas City, MO)
There's nothing Kansas Citians love more than a good Boulevard brew. They're one of our favorite brewing companies, and they'll always be there for us... as long as we keep making them sell out of their limited edition brews.
2. Border Brewing Company (406 E 18th St., Kansas City, MO)
Border Brewing Co. makes porters, reds, IPAs, and everything in between. Of course, there's a lot of flavors happening around here. Raspberry chocolate milk stout? Count me in!
3. Calibration Brewery (119 Armour Rd., Kansas City, MO)
Calibration Brewery has all sorts of brews that seem
calibrated to your taste buds. In addition to beer, they also make seasonal cider. What's better than relaxing near a wood stove with a fresh brew that you've never tried before?
4. Cinder Block Brewery (110 E 18th Ave., Kansas City, MO)
Cinder Block brews don't always hit you like a brick, but their flavors sure stick around like one. They also make an amazing French cider - it's one of my favorite drinks in the city!
5. Double Shift Brewing Company (412 E 18th St., Kansas City, MO)
This brewing company was started by a fireman and only 5 barrels, but is working a double shift to bring you the best around. They have all sorts of flavors that rotate and change, but it's clear that they know what they're doing.
6. Martin City Brewing Company Taproom (410 E 135th St., Kansas City, MO)
Martin City Brewing has a few wacky can designs, but that only makes you wonder what their brews taste like even more. Of course, one of their most unique creations is a gluten free brew that is dubbed "Yoga Pants."
7. Stockyards Brewing Co. (1600 Genessee St. Ste. 100, Kansas City, MO)
Stockyards, a brewery named after the neighborhood where it resides and serves brews in an atmosphere that is here to improve the business of brewing and the people that partake in it.
8. The Big Rip Brewing Company (216 E 9th Ave., Kansas City, MO)
Two friends created The Big Rip, and together they want to bring in any beer lover, whether you're a newbie or a seasoned pro.
