Walk down the streets of historic Weston, Missouri and slip back in time. You can almost hear the whistle of old steamboats arriving with new residents, visitors, and businessmen during the 1850's. It's impossible not to fall in love with this old river town. So when you decided to visit Weston for the first time or the fiftieth time, there's one historic home that you'll want to stay at.
Sitting proudly on Short Street is The Hatchery House Bed and Breakfast. This lovely two-story home was constructed in 1845 by Benjamin Wood, who would eventually go on to become mayor of Weston. The home transferred owners many times, by 1940 Herbert Doppler converted the house into apartments. The apartments were often occupied by newlyweds and was nicknamed The Hatchery after so many children were born in the complex. In 1985 the home was saved from demolition and was transformed into a beautiful bed and breakfast.
Relax in modern, updated rooms that still show their historic roots. The exposed brick, traditional decor, and large windows will make you feel like a time traveler.
