Calling all former hippies, hippies at heart, and those who want to channel their inner hippie for the very first time! Hippies of all ages and backgrounds will gather in Missouri this August to celebrate everything groovy and righteous with an epic one day hippie festival that promises plenty of fun for the whole family. So, whether you want to relive the good old days or discover the hippie years for the first time, head to Hippie Fest 2019.
Okay, Missourians, mark your calendars for August 31, 2019 for the epic Hippie Fest, which will be held at Whispering Pines Campground in Jadwin.
Running from noon to 7 p.m., the epic one-day festival offers plenty to do for the entire family. Tickets are $15 for everyone 11 and older. Kids 10 and younger are free.
So, pull out your old '60s gear and get ready for an afternoon you won't soon forget. The festival will feature a vintage car festival where you can check out the classics, like the Volkswagen Beetle.
Remember how cool tie dye was? Join other festival-goers in a little do-it-yourself tie dye, one of the many kid-friendly activities planned for the day.
The one-day festival will also host a bohemian market, where you can pick up goodies. (Or, if you have items to sell, consider applying for vendor status.)
Having so much fun you just don't want the day to end? Camp out overnight either Friday or Saturday night or both. (A camping pass is $15 an evening during the festival.)
