Take A Goat Hike In Missouri For An Adventure Unlike Any Other

Join the goats as they guide you on a 3.5-mile hike through Devil’s Den State Park in nearby Arkansas. However, you will hitch a ride to the state park from Farmers Park in Springfield.

You’ll meet your furry new friends at Devil’s Den State Park. The goats are part of Snake Mountain Pack Goats, an organization that works with veterans, specifically those with PTSD or disabilities, and helps them to get outdoors.

Consider bringing your camera. After all, can you think of anything better than posing for selfies with the goats and snapping shots of the scenes – waterfalls and caves, for example – along the trail?

Don’t worry if you’re not up for carrying your bag or your backpack. Your new goat friends can help by carrying it for a bit.

Following your hike, you’ll bid a fond farewell to the goats and head to nearby Sassafras Winery for a bite to eat and wine tasting if you’re 21 or older. Both the trip and the winery are family-friendly, although guests must be at least 12 years old.

Tickets cost $89 and include transportation, a guide, and a $25 donation to Snake Mountain Pack Goats.
