There are endless adventures that you can have in the Show Me State. Some activities are so epic that you probably have never thought about doing them in Missouri. 1. Hike a mountain.
Did you know you can hike an ancient mountain range right here in the Show Me State? The St. Francois Mountain Range is located in southeastern Missouri's and it's where you will find Missouri's highest point of elevation, Taum Sauk Mountain. Find the mountain off Hwy. CC in Ironton.
2. Go scuba diving.
One of the most popular scuba diving retreats is actually right here in the landlocked state of Missouri. Deep within the old Bonne Terre mine you will find crystal clear water in the world's largest freshwater diving resort. 3. Watch a Civil War reenactment.
There are many Civil War reenactments held across the state, typically at sites of former battles. Take in the action and the history at one of these great events.

Although the center is closed for the winter, you an learn other circus arts from the Circus Harmony Center at their home in the City Museum.
6. Stomp grapes and help make Missouri wines.
Each fall many wineries across the state host a grape stomp in celebration of the harvest season. Visitors get to stomp grapes into juice just like wine makers would have hundreds of years ago. During the months of October you can try your hand at grape stomping at many of the great wineries all across Missouri.
7. Ski down a snowy hillside.
Hit the slopes at Snow Creek in Weston, just 45 minutes from Kansas City. From skiing to snow tubing you can do it all right here in Missouri. 9. Pedal across the state.
Bike across Missouri on the Katy Trail. This 240 miles long trail follows the former Missouri-Kansas-Texas Railroad and is perfect for biking and running. Make a trip out of your ride and stop at one of the wineries or restaurants that are located just off the trail.
10. Putt across the world without crossing state lines.
Head to Springfield for the most epic putt putt course in the state. Choose one of the two amazing 18 hole courses. Travel around the world and visit miniature monuments or take a trip across America!
