These 15 Restaurants in Missouri Have Fries So Good You Can’t Handle It
I don’t know very many people who don’t love french fries. I mean, it’s a fried potato!!! Even “bad” fries sometimes really hit the spot, but you don’t have to worry about that at any of these places, where you can get everything from your typical french fries to sweet potato fries or other fancy alternative versions. No one could deny these fries are just delicious.
1. The Shaved Duck, Tower Grove, St. Louis
The Fries: Smothered Pulled Pork Fries - Pulled rib and pork meat over hand cut fries topped with cheese sauce and freshly grated sharp cheddar.
Location: 2900 Virginia Avenue
Hours of Operation: Monday 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., Tuesday-Friday 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., Saturday 4 p.m. to 10 p.m., closed Sunday
2. The Brick, Kansas City
The Fries: You will want to try the Sweet Potato fries, but if that’s not your thing, they also offer regular fries and “The Hot Mess.” (Tater Tots topped with cheese sauce, spicy beans, sour cream, jalapenos, tomatoes, salsa, green onions and black olives)

3. Aviary Cafe, Springfield
The Fries: Pommes Frites: fresh cut and crispy double fried potatoes with truffle oil and sea salt. Serviced with garlic aioli.

Hours of Operation: Sunday-Thursday 8 a.m. to 9 p.m., Friday -Saturday 8 a.m. to 11 p.m.

The Fries: Polenta Fries - Crispy and golden on the outside with a soft, rich texture inside and perfect seasoning. Served with chipotle aioli.

Hours of Operation: Weekdays 3pm - 3am
Weekends 10am - 3am
5. Beer Kitchen #1, Kansas City
The Fries: Large variety of hand-cut fries served with choice of aioli dipping sauce (Roasted Garlic, Smoked Chipotle, Malt Vinegar, Horseradish, Basil Vegenaise, Sweet Thai Chili, Smoked Bacon). You can choose Belgian-style, truffle-parmesan, or sweet potato. They also serve three different kinds of cheese fries: The Gorgonzola Fries (blue cheese fondue, smoked bacon, roma tomatoes), The Stockyard Fries (bbq burnt ends, smoked gouda fondue, caramelized onion, pickle relish) and the Disco Fries (melted provolone, vegetarian shitake mushroom gravy).

The Fries: House Fries, Beer Batter, Sweet Potato, and the amazing Monster Chili Cheese Fries - house fries under Mom’s Chili and Spicy Queso.

Hours of Operation: Tuesday-Sunday 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 AM. Kitchen closes at 10 p.m. T-F.
7. Three Kings Public House, St. Louis
The Fries: Natural cut fries and sweet potato fries, as well as the appetizer Mussels & Fries (Fresh Prince Edward Island mussels simmered in a garlic-herb broth & natural cut fries with curried caper mayo).

The Fries: Bistro Fries, Dirty Fries and Sweet Fries. The sweet fries in particular are sweet and buttery with brown sugar and covered in marshmallow, definitely a must-try.

9. Billiard’s on Broadway, Columbia
The Fries: ‘Bout Died Fries - fresh cut fries smothered with chili, chopped onions, diced jalapeños, and cheddar cheese. You can also get their fresh cut fries with any combination of nacho cheese, chili and bacon bits. They also have dessert fries!
