Most of us would probably wholeheartedly agree that it’s really tough to get bored in Missouri. After all, our beautiful state offers so much to do both indoors and outdoors. It also promises plenty of unique attractions that you just won’t find anywhere else. Dust off the old bucket list and add these six quirky museums in Missouri.

Tucked in the Joplin Museum Complex, the National Cookie Cutter Museum definitely belongs on your must visit list. The museum features collections of cookie cutters – from advertising cutters to European cutters.

4. World’s Largest Small Electric Appliance Museum – Diamond
Journey back in time – and take a peek at history through small electric appliances – at the World’s Largest Small Electric Appliance Museum. Founded and run by Richard Larrison, the museum boasts an eclectic collection of such appliances of yesteryear as waffles, razors, and popcorn poppers.

5. Celebrity Car Museum – Branson
Don’t forget your camera when you visit the Celebrity Car Museum which features, well, celebrity vehicles – like Herbie the Love Bug. You can even climb into some of the cars for photos. Cars you’ll see include the 1966 Batmobile, K.I.T.T. from Knight Rider, and the Flintstones car.
6. Laclede’s Landing Wax Museum – St. Louis
Rub elbows with some of your favorite celebrities – well, the waxed versions of them – at Laclede’s Landing Wax Museum in St. Louis. Spend a fun few hours at the museum that features wax figures of Morgan Freeman, the Storm Troopers from Star Wars, and Batman.
