As the name implies, this world famous pie shop doesn’t dish out traditional pies. Instead, it serves up fried pies, which come stuffed to the brim with sweet or savory fillings. Nothing pairs quite as well with an old-fashioned slice of pie than a quick history lesson – and that’s exactly what you’ll get at Weidemann’s. Opened in 1870, it’s touted as the oldest restaurant in Mississippi. It’s also revered for its black bottom pie, which is often touted as the best pie in the world.
