Over the years, Mississippi has seen a lot of changes. It’s hard to imagine what the state looked like centuries, or even decades, ago. Luckily, you don’t have to. Here are 11 pictures that show just how much the Magnolia State has evolved over the past hundred years or so. Take a look to see how many sites and places you recognize.
Built in 1902, this hotel was once a popular spot for the wealthy. It had "unheard of" luxuries, such as phones in every guest room, hot and cold running water, and a bath for every two rooms.
