This Mississippi Restaurant Is So Remote You’ve Probably Never Heard Of It

If you’re willing to travel for great food, you’ve got to pay a visit to Reeves Fish and Steak House. The eatery has been in business for over 30 years, which is a huge feat for any restaurant, but it’s especially impressive when you consider Reeves’ extremely remote locale. It may take a bit of effort to get to, but the tasty fare more than makes up for it. Take a look:
As you can see from the map, Reeves Fish and Steak House is pretty remote. A true hidden gem, it’s the kind of place you only find out about through locals.
To get to Reeves, you’ll have to head to the tiny village of Golden, which is in Tishomingo County. Luckily, it’s not too far from Highway 25, so it shouldn’t be too hard to find.
…and a buffet full of fish house favorites, like fried catfish and shrimp and hush puppies. Sticking to its southern roots, there are also chicken tenders and frog legs.
In addition to a buffet, the restaurant features a mouthwatering menu that includes a variety of seafood and steaks. Grilled to perfection and so tender they can be cut with a butter knife, the steaks at Reeves are practically guaranteed to impress.
