When it comes to beauty, Tishomingo State Park is brimming with it! It’s also brimming with fun ways to soak in the park’s stunning surroundings, such as hiking, kayaking, and rock climbing.

A private garden turned city park, Mynelle Gardens is one of Jackson’s best kept - and most enchanting - secrets. Like something straight from a fairy tale, the 7-acre botanical garden features lush landscaping, shaded walking paths, bridges, ponds, gazebos, and more.

At 50’, Cooper Falls is one of the state’s tallest waterfalls. It’s also one of the most stunning. Though you need a boat to reach it, accessing the waterfall is still pretty easy since it’s just a short distance from the shoreline of Pickwick Lake, which is in J.P. Coleman State Park.

Fittingly dubbed one of the "top 20 natural wonders" on the Natchez Trace, this majestic swamp sure is easy on the eyes. The best part is that a boardwalk leads right through it, so you can get some close up views of the surroundings.

Standing the test of time, Windsor Ruins are all that remain of the Windsor Plantation, which burned down in 1890. Though now just a shell of the grand home it once was, the site continues to impress – Windsor Ruins have been deemed the most imposing ruins in the US.

At Natchez’s Bluff Park you can take in breathtaking views of one of the nation’s most famous rivers, the Mighty Mississippi. If you’re up for a stroll, check out the park’s nature trail and walking bridge, which provide close-up views of the river and lead straight to the historic district, Natchez Under-the-Hill.

You can walk right up to the edge of this ½-mile-wide-canyon, where you’ll be met with unparalleled views made up of miles of tree tops and the Pearl River. Or, if you’re feeling extra adventurous, hike down to the bottom of the canyon, which is about 150’ deep.

A nature lover’s paradise, Strawberry Plains Audubon Center boasts 2,600 acres of forests, grasslands, and wildflower meadows. The beautiful sights don’t end there, though. Strawberry Plains is home to an impressive hummingbird population, which means spotting the flying gems is highly likely.

Part of the Gulf Islands National Seashore, Ship Island features pristine beaches, beautiful water, and the chance to spot some dolphins. There’s even a historic fort from the 1850s that island visitors can explore.
