The Recently Re-Opened Mississippi Attraction That Belongs On Your Bucket List
It’s not very often that we get a second chance to visit an attraction that’s been closed down, but there are always exceptions – and The Lewis Ranch is one of them. Last year, the ranch, which is the private retreat of rock-and-roll legend Jerry Lee Lewis, was re-opened to the public for tours. Unlike any other attraction, The Lewis Ranch is definitely worthy of a spot on your bucket list. Take a look:
We’re aware that these uncertain times are limiting many aspects of life. While we continue to feature destinations that make our state wonderful, please take proper precautions or add them to your bucket list to see at a later date. This is The Lewis Ranch. It’s located just 20 miles outside of Memphis in the small town of Nesbit, MS.
Purchased by Jerry Lee Lewis in the 1970s, the ranch has served as the musician’s private getaway for decades. In fact, he still composes music and spends time with his family at the ranch.
In addition to close-up views of awards, memorabilia, and other personal items, tours include lots of information on Lewis’ "early life, his climb to success, and the way he lives today" thanks to well-informed tour guides.
The Lewis Ranch is located at 1595 Malone Rd., Nesbit, MS 38651. For more information, call (901) 488-1823. You can also visit the ranch’s website or Facebook page.
