Mark your calendars! On March 5th, Biloxi will be hosting a ribbon-cutting and block party to celebrate the opening of The District on Howard. Recently revamped, the new community gathering place has a lot to offer, especially during the upcoming festivities, which will bring live entertainment and several food trucks to the area. What’s old is new again…in downtown Biloxi! A mostly abandoned section of the city’s downtown area has been transformed into The District on Howard.

Occupying the historic Barq’s building as well as several other long-forgotten about properties, The District on Howard features a mix of apartments, shops, and restaurants.
But one of its best features is The District Green, a large outdoor green space.

With seating and a stage for entertainment, it’s designed to be a community gathering place, providing locals with a spot to congregate, grab a bite to eat, or listen to music.
A socially-distant celebration is scheduled for March 5th to commemorate Biloxi’s newest addition – and you don’t want to miss it!

As if it couldn’t get any better, Biloxi Main Street’s First Friday event will be happening at the same time!

A monthly favorite, First Friday includes vendors and fun festivities for everyone.
And though the March 5th event will come and go, the food trucks will be more of a permanent fixture. You’ll find them at The District Green daily during lunchtime.
