The Mississippi Gift Shop In The Middle Of Nowhere That’s One Of The Best On Earth
Mississippi is full of hidden gems. In fact, some of the state’s best sites require a bit of extra effort (and gas) to get to. And that’s exactly the case with the Indianola Pecan House. A bit off the beaten path, it’s been around for decades. And after one visit, you’ll quickly see why the old fashioned shop has remained a favorite throughout the years. Take a look:
Head to Indianola, and you’ll find about 12,000 citizens and the home of the "original praline pecan" — the Indianola Pecan House.
Step inside, and you'll find all sorts of pecan goodies. The tasty variety includes everything from chocolate covered pecans and pralines to pecan fruitcakes and pies.
Aside from the mouthwatering goodies, the merchandise includes lots of souvenirs and unique gift items. Full of fantastic finds, you'll want to give yourself plenty of time to explore the shop.
Visit the Indianola Pecan House at 1013 Hwy 82 East in Indianola. It’s open Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m., and Saturday, from 9:30 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Because of the success of the Indianola Pecan House, additional locations have been opened in Flowood, Tupelo, and Southaven. Can’t make it to any of the retail stores? No problem! The Indianola Pecan House ships worldwide. For more information, click here.
