Mississippi’s Mermaid Themed Restaurant Is As Magical As It Sounds

If you’ve ever wondered whether or not mermaids exist, you can find the answer in Biloxi. The coastal city is home to a mermaid-themed restaurant, where you’ll find actual mermaids. (Yes, you read that right.) In addition to mystical creatures from under the sea, the bar and grill is also home to a tasty fare that includes everything from burgers to lobster. Take a look:

At the end of last year, the longtime Biloxi staple, Shady’s, underwent a magical transformation and reopened as Shady’s Mermaid Dive Bar.

Aiming to create a more vibrant atmosphere, Shady’s revamping included taking on an under the sea theme — complete with jellyfish light fixtures and mermaids.

The recent revamp also brought some additions to the menu. Aside from classics, such as po’ boys and burgers…

…you’ll find things like tacos and pad Thai.

Not too hungry? That’s okay; there are also plenty of appetizers to choose from.

As if the regular menu isn't enough to draw you in, there are weekly specials. One of the most popular is lobster night, which is held on Mondays.

And with a full-service bar, even the drinks are sure to impress.

A great place for people of all ages, the interior is divided into two sections. One side is family friendly with music and TVs, while the other is a bit more laid-back.
