Though Daniella was born in New York and has lived in a couple of other states, Mississippi has been her home for the past 25 years. After graduating from the University of Southern Mississippi, Daniella began to hone her writing skills through various internships, working for The Royal Obsession and Anatomie clothing. In the years since, she’s had the privilege of having her articles appear in several publications, such as Parents & Kids Magazine and Girl Meets Strong. She’s also had the honor of interviewing actress Sela Ward for The Mississippi Arts and Entertainment Experience.
Between a small town locale and unassuming exterior, MacBe Seafood and Café would be easy to pass up – but you don’t want to make that mistake! A quintessential seafood dive, its modest appearance is no match for the incredible food waiting inside. Take a look:
One of the state’s newer seafood restaurants, MacBe Seafood and Café opened in Bay St. Louis back in 2018.
Just how enormous? Well, the fried shrimp boat comes with 30 shrimp, four hush puppies, and fries or onion rings. There's also the seafood boat, which includes 25 shrimp, 15 oysters, six catfish strips, and fries or onion rings.
Some would say that MacBe Seafood and Cafe is one of the coast's best kept secrets, and that may be the case...but between the tasty fare and low prices, it won't be long before the secret's out.
MacBe Seafood and Café opens at 10 a.m. Tuesday – Sunday. For more information, call (228) 344-3420. You can also visit the MacBe Seafood and Café Facebook page.
