But Food Network’s ranking isn’t the first time the chicken was recognized. It was also voted as one of the best places for fried chicken in Mississippi Magazine. And that’s in addition to being mentioned in an article by Forbes.

So, what makes it so good? Well, it can be partly attributed to the cooking process, which involves a salt and sugar brine and the use of special seasonings in the breading as well as on the chicken.
