Unless you’ve grown up in a small town you won’t understand the “love, hate” relationship that comes along with it. From uneventful days to knowing everyone’s name, growing up in a small town in Mississippi is definitely an experience.

On Friday nights there was a football game and EVERYONE was there.

Local hangouts included random places where lots of cars could be parked and involved hours upon hours of, well, just hanging out.

Your teacher taught your mom. Your new boss is your cousin’s friend. You’ve had the same people in your class since kindergarten. You all know each other in some way, shape, or form, and, because of such, keep up with everything that’s going on in each others’ lives. Speaking of knowing each other…
You never carry a house key because, well, your door isn’t locked and why would it be?
If you misbehaved, you were punished. And punishment normally involved a "whippin’" from either a paddle or a "switch" which, by the way, you were forced to pick.
