If you’re looking for the perfect rustic destination, then you’ll love the French Camp Historic Village. In addition to several historic buildings and special attractions, the grounds include a B&B, which is made up of several log cabins that date back to the 1800s. Take a look:
Part of the French Camp Historic Village, the French Camp Bed and Breakfast is conveniently located just two blocks from the Natchez Trace, making it a great place to stay when cruising the famous parkway.
The main B&B was constructed from two separate log cabins that were merged together. Though not moved to French Camp until 1986, the cabins date back to 1840 and 1870.
Known for its "country comfort," the B&B includes four rooms, each of which has a private bath. There’s also a cozy family room, balcony sitting area, and a front porch that’s perfect for relaxing.
Great for small groups or families, the B&B, Jr. can accommodate up to six people. Offering just as much historic appeal as its larger counterpart, the B&B, Jr. was built from the wood of several buildings that date back to the 1800s.
Full of rustic charm, it features dark log walls and wood floors. There’s also a cozy sitting area, dining area, kitchenette, full bath, and two bedrooms, so you’re sure to feel right at home.
The smaller of the cabins, the Burford Cabin is made from an 1800s dog trot home, which was moved to French Camp from West Point. Quaint and cozy, it can sleep up to four people and includes a kitchenette, sitting/dining area, bathroom, and loft.
Check-in is at the Log Cabin Gift Shop, providing the perfect opportunity to peruse the merchandise, which includes a variety of locally made products, such as sorghum molasses, honey mustard, fresh baked bread, pottery, rocking chairs, and more.
