A longstanding tradition, the market was held for the first time in 1893. It’s continued to wow savvy shoppers throughout the years, and now it's always held the weekend before the first Monday of the month.
With such a storied history, this flea market has a lot to live up to and it does so not just in terms of size but in quality of products as well.
Like most everything else, Ripley's First Monday Trade Day was affected by the COVID pandemic; however, the market quickly reopened because of its open-air nature, and it's only been getting better since then. Plus, it’s large enough to allow for adequate social distancing.
