Spanning thousands of acres and boasting a variety of habitats, the reserve is just waiting for Mississippi explorers.

Of all the things to do in Moss Point, Grand Bay NERR ranks pretty high up there, especially when it comes to outdoor fun.

Today, the Grand Bay NERR occupies roughly 18,000 acres!

The grounds feature a variety of habitats, including pine savannas, salt marshes, salt pannes, bays, bayous, and terrestrial habitats.

And the best part is that there are many ways to explore the reserve.

From paddlers, boaters, and fishers to photographers and artists, there are opportunities for everyone at the reserve.

Of course, every visit to Grand Bay NERR should begin at the interpretive center, which is home to state-of-the-art exhibits and a resident turtle named Tobi.

The interpretive center isn’t the only opportunity visitors will have to learn about the reserve, though.

Informative signs can be found throughout the reserve, including along its trails, making every stroll through the reserve as educational as it is recreational.
