One Of The Largest Arts And Crafts Festivals In The U.S. Takes Place Each Year In This Small Town In Mississippi

Small town Mississippi is full of wonderful surprises – and one of them is the Prairie Arts Festival. Not only is the festival one of the top 10 events in the South, but it’s one of the largest arts and crafts fests in the entire country. Take a look:

Held for the first time in 1978, the Prairie Arts Festival is heading into its 41st year.

Each year, more than 20,000 people head to West Point for the festival – and for good reason.

Since beginning, the festival has grown substantially. It now features 300 vendors and more than 600 exhibits!

A great place to search for unique, one-of-a-kind items, the vendor booths feature a mixture of fine arts, whimsical handmade crafts, resale booths, and homemade toys.

Though the merchandise is a big part of the festival, it’s not all it has to offer.

There are also rides, a petting zoo, and…

… even train rides.

As far as food goes, there’s plenty of that too.

With over 30 food vendors, there’s something for everyone’s tastes.
