Most People Have No Idea This Charming Orchard Is Hiding In Mississippi

If you want fresh fruit, you’ve got to go straight to the source – an orchard. Luckily, the Magnolia State just so happens to be home to Cherry Creek Orchards. As charming as it sounds, the sprawling property features acres of pristine orchards, brimming with peaches, apples, and more. Even better, you can visit and pick your own fruit. There’s also a produce stand, where you can stock up on all sorts of fresh goodies. Take a look:

Cherry Creek Orchards is nestled in the hills of northeast Mississippi in the small town of Pontotoc.

Since being established in 1981, the orchard has grown tremendously.

Today, it spans 123 acres and includes over 20 varieties of peaches.

Without a doubt, the peaches are some of the finest (and biggest) in the South.

In addition to peaches, the orchard includes Arkansas Black Apples.

There’s also pecan and chestnut groves, grapes, figs, blackberries, nectarines, purple hull peas, and tomatoes.

The orchard even produces its own honey.

Cherry Creek Orchards is open to the public seasonally. Visit the orchard and you can pick your own fruit.

Or, choose from the selection of already-picked produce. Either way, you’ll be getting the freshest of the fresh.

Make sure to check the orchard’s hours prior to your visit, as they are subject to change. Also, Cherry Creek Orchards accepts "cash or check only" so remember to grab some cash or bring your checkbook.
