Speakeasies may have disappeared long ago, but that doesn’t make them any less alluring. In fact, it’s not uncommon to come across bars modeled after the obscure watering holes of decades past. Lucky for us, we have such a bar here in the Magnolia State. Take a look:
This is Brent’s Drugs in Jackson. A popular eatery, it’s not normally thought of as a nighttime spot.
Knowledgeable bartenders only add to the old-fashioned feel. Sure to please, the drink selection includes everything from specialty and seasonal drinks to classic cocktails.
The nightly fare also includes small plates, like hummus and a cheese plate. On Fridays and Saturdays, the menu expands to include heartier dishes, such as burgers and sandwiches.
The Apothecary is open Tuesday – Thursday from 5 p.m. to 1 a.m. and Friday – Saturday from 5 p.m. to 2 a.m. For more information, call (601) 366-3427. You can also visit The Apothecary Facebook page.
