Everyone loves The Wizard of Oz, but the movie holds an even more special place in the hearts of many Minnesotans. Why? Because Judy Garland — the actress who played Dorothy — was born in Grand Rapids. Though the family left when Judy was just four years old, her short tenure in Minnesota is still remembered to this day.
