The trails that crisscross Minnesota are some of the best in the country. From waterfall hikes to wooded trails to paths that follow entirety of the North Shore, there is something to interest everyone. One of the most beautiful trails in the state is a bike and hiking trail that crosses through some of Minnesota’s prettiest places. As you cruise along the path, you’ll get a real sense of the landscape, from the thick northern forests to the remote lakes. Not only that, but this trail crosses the tallest bridge in Minnesota. The Mesabi Trail is a 135-mile paved trail through northern Minnesota. When it is completed, it will be over 150 miles long and one of the longest paved trails in the country.
The trail is accessible in 28 communities. While they are not all connected yet, there is a shuttle service that connects bikers to the next part of their journey.
From 204 feet above the water, you'll be able to take in the surrounding landscape as you move along the trail. it's a truly breathtaking view that is more than worth the journey.
