Here in the Land of 10,000 Lakes, we have access to 67 state parks and many other state recreation areas, scientific and natural areas, state trails, and more. Because there is so much to do, it’s easy to overlook some quieter spots in favor of more flashy attractions. That’s why most Minnesotans haven’t heard of the state park we would like to feature today. But Split Rock Creek State Park, in the state’s southwestern corner, is a perfectly peaceful oasis that makes for a wonderful weekend excursion.
