As the Land of 10,000 Lakes, Minnesota has more than a few excellent beaches to call its own. There are beautiful sections of shoreline in every corner of the state. Because it is one of the largest and most pristine beaches in the area, the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources made it an official Scientific and Nature Area.
