As fall makes its official start, there is an incredible number of great autumn adventures to have in Minnesota. From cider mills to fall hikes, Minnesota leaves no stone unturned when it comes to fall activities. Being the birthplace of honeycrisp apples, Minnesota apple orchards are especially notable. In the small town of Montrose, one orchard has an attraction that is sure to delight train lovers of all ages.
The orchard is located at 345 County Road 30 Southeast in Montrose. In 2017, the orchard is open Thursday through Sunday until October 29. Visit between 10:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. It is free to visit the orchard, though some activities do cost a few dollars.
Favorites like SweeTango and Honeycrisp are available for picking as well as purchasing within the orchard store. Other available varieties are Sweet 16, Corland, Haralson, and Honey Gold.

Just in time for Halloween, the pumpkins at Fall Harvest Orchard come in all shapes and sizes. Whether you want to carve a big jack-o'-lantern or arrange a few small pumpkins together, you'll find just what you're looking for.
